UPDATE
WE NOW HAVE A NEW MEMBER. Mitchell Procter aka NEW BOYYY. He has joined due to his group falling apart ad has brought in some new ideas to improve our film
Mitch's Original Blog
we will be re-doing our recee sheets - bye bye field. and our shots list and story boarding but can get this done before filming.
Costume and Props will be researched this week to get everything prepared for re-filming on saturday the 19th March.
We have a location in Bulwell and Beeston that could be used and will get pictures of it to see whether either would be suitable for the film.
:)

This week
UPDATE
We filmed at the weekend but the footage we got was shockingly bad and so have to re-film yet again! :(
We are going to talk to all of our actors and make sure everyone is free so we don't have to pull anyone in last minute again. Although we had some very bad results we're going to import what we have to see if any of the shots can be used in our final piece.
Today we're uploading and scanning in our sheets up to the blog.

28th February 2010
Today we spent the lesson finishing and posting the start to our evaluation pieces, making sure we had included everything possible. This was done by Casey and Abby, as Amber wasn't here.
We then went through our folder and attempted to scan in a few of the sheets, but we couldn't get the scanner to work, so we will do this again next week hopefully :)
We then started to run through our already filmed items and decided which shots we can keep and which will be re-shot. We are filming this Saturday, but are unsure whether we will have to re-do all of it as Tom may not be able to make it.
Half term evaluation- Question 2 (Casey's Question).
There are many different forms and conventions of the Horror sub-genre we are using. Basic conventions include blood, secluded areas, the dark, and death. These are included in the films "Bram Stoker's Dracula", "Let the Right One In", and "The Lost Boys." We used the research in to these conventions to help with the making of a horror film so we knew what different conventions we could use so that our film fit in to the sub-genre of vampire films. It is important to do this so that we know what sort of things are used to define a vampire film and keep it different from a psychological film for example.
In our horror film, we challenged the conventions to make our film different to films that have been made before. Some of our ideas we were influenced by the television program "Being Human"; the way that our vampire can go out in the sunlight. This challenges the convention that vampires burn in the sun, or as Twilight interpreted it; sparkle. Making our vampire able to go out in to the sun also made it easier to film and meant that we were able to do more with our characters and choice of location.
This is a picture of John Mitchell from BBC show "Being Human." Our character design is based on him and the fact he can go out in the daytime:
